Chair in solid teak and braided canework. Asymmetrical "compass" type double side leg assembly, with the legs connected by two crosspieces. Slightly slanted, curved canework backrest, attached to the seat by two solid supports at the bottom.

Circa 1958-59.

  • Height: 32.7 in / 83 cm.
  • Length: 17.7 in / 44 cm.
  • Depth: 20.5 in / 52 cm. (+/-).

Provenance: Panjab University in Chandigarh (sector 14). Student housing housing known as "Hostel for girls" (1959) and "Hostel for boys" (1961). 

Reference: Swiss National Museum in Zurich.
