Sissoo low chair

Low chair known as "kangourou" in solid sissoo (Indian rosewood) and braided canework. Canework seat and backrest on a profiled sissoo structure forming a base at the back. Two slanting, profiled legs at the front. Slightly curved backrest, with leg following on from the seat to form a horizontal "Z" shape.

Circa 1955.

  • Height: 27.5 in / 70 cm.
  • Length: 21.1 in / 53,5 cm.
  • Depth: 30.7 in / 78 cm. (+/-).

Provenance: Hall of the General Hospital, sector 32 and private homes in Chandigarh.
