Teak reading light table.

Reading light table in solid teak and teak veneer. Thick veneered top, collapsible, with solid wood apron. Two solid "angle" type side legs slot in beneath teak blocks affixed to the top. At the centre, light is provided by two two outward sloping upper reflectors in grey lacquered, folded sheet metal, mounted on eight tubes of grey lacquered steel.

With a central insert for separation, an opaque glass slab.

Circa 1963-64. Dimensions: Height: 28.94 in / 73,5 cm. Length: 96.85 in / 246 cm. Width: 48.62 in / 123,5 cm. (+/-).

Provenance: Assembly in Chandigarh, sector 1 and library at Panjab University, sector 14.

Note: This table came in various sizes depending on its position in the work rooms.
