Collapsible administrative desk in solid teak and teak veneer. Thick veneered rectangular top, resting on two double-sided box sections, one long and one short, both suspended on "log" type legs.

The long box section has four open storage compartments inside and three doors on the outside, while the short box section contains an open compartment a drawer and one door on the outside. Opening grip for the doors and drawer, in the shape of a hollowed-out circle on an aluminium background, typical of the work of Pierre JEANNERET in Chandigarh.

Circa 1957-58.

Provenance: Secretariat (1958) and various administrative buildings in Chandigarh.
