Teak low chair

Low chair known as "kangourou" in solid teak and braided canework. Canework seat and backrest on a profiled teak structure forming a base at the back. Two slanting, profiled legs at the front.

The slightly curved backrest, seat and leg follow on from each other to form a horizontal "Z" shape.

Circa 1955.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 27.5 in / 70,5 cm.
  • Length: 21.6 in / 55,5 cm.
  • Depth: 28.7 in / 73 cm. (+/-).

Provenance: Panjab Secretariat Administration in Chandigarh, sector 1 and private homes in Chandigarh.
