Teak armchair

Armchair known as "Committee chair" in solid teak and leather. Backrest, seat and armrests slightly tilted and covered in black leather with piping. "Compass" type side leg assembly in teak with slanted, profiled flat legs, supporting separate armrests with "roll" type stuffed covers. A front and back rail support the seat from underneath.

Circa 1953-54.

  • Length: 22.05 in / 56 cm.
  • Depth: 21.65 in / 55 cm. (+/-).

Provenance: High Court in Chandigarh, administrative buildings in Chandigarh, sector 1 and Panjab University, sector 14.

Reference: Similar example at Swiss National Museum in Zurich.

Note : This armchair also existed covered with moleskin.
